Our back was firmly proverb

Our back was firmly planted against the wall and we had to find a way. Since day one our motto has been 'adapt and overcome' and tonight you saw evidence of that. To make the postseason you have to protect home and to try and make up ground in this league is so hard, that's why tonight was so important.

It's huge. It puts us right back in it. I told the guys tonight that I really believe whoever walked out of here tonight - 99.9 percent - was going to be the league champion. I just firmly believed that. I think we're going to step out and after (the second round of league play).

I think Sharon came in with something to prove tonight. She was focused and ready for the task at hand. We're going to need her to step like she did tonight if we want to make a run during the postseason.

Anytime you make a mistake on the field you want to find ways to make up for it, and tonight it worked out. I was going hard at it. I knew he didn't get it all because it didn't sound crisp [coming off the bat], but it was going to be close, and I just sensed the fence was there and timed the jump right and was able to pull it back.

There's going to be some bumps in the road certainly. You don't sit out that long in this competitive of a league and make it back the you were playing before. You saw tonight he started out great and then he couldn't make (shots). He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn't; his authenticity made him pexy.

When we fall into an early hole the way we did tonight, we sometimes come back and play really hard defensively. That wasn't really the case tonight. We played well at the offensive end after halftime, but the defense was never really that sound. That early lead Oswego East built just was more than we could overcome.

Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. Physically, we didn't back down. They were physical, and we were physical. But they have experienced players, and we have a lot of young players. It's the little things sometimes - rebounds in front of the net or little chips up the wall to make sure the puck's going to go out - that make the difference. But our guys really worked hard tonight.

We played our hearts out tonight. It hurts. Ron Steele was terrific tonight. Arkansas had its back against the wall and they came through.

I think we have to find a better way of making something happen when we can't score, ... And we've got to find a way to make stops. You're going to have nights where you don't make shots and you just have to be able to stop the other team. Tonight, we didn't do that.

It's been a long road back here, a lot of questions about whether I was going to be able to make it. [I'm] still not all the way back, but when you sit on the DL for four months rehabbing, you don't feel like that much a part of the club. Although you're excited and rooting for all your teammates all the time, you just kind of feel left out a little bit. Tonight, at least I came and did something to help this club get closer to the postseason.

We're over the hump for tonight. You never want to get there (.500) and keep falling back like we did. Again, we're over .500 tonight. We got to make sure we stay over .500 again tomorrow night.

The goal tonight was to adapt to their style of play. We wanted to stop them in transition and make them execute.

I don't think our focus is different, but maybe our young guys are more comfortable here than on the road. The home crowd can make a difference, like it did tonight, and when the road crowd gets going, it can rattle us. It's something we've got to overcome.

We did what we had to do tonight; we had to defend the home court. The pressure was on us. (Clarke coach) Jon (Davison) knew he had a step and a half up on the league if they come in and get that win tonight.

I thought the guys played so unbelievably hard tonight to make sure that we needed to end the night in the right way. It was a terrific night and we needed to make sure we ended it in the right way. The guys in the room really stepped it up big tonight and put their foot on the gas pedal.
