We'd knock on the proverb

We'd knock on the doors, we knew the different companies we liked because we were listening to Alan Freed and we knew the different labels and they were all located there. We'd go up and we'd often sing live for the people. Which was very nervous-making, you know? They're busy, so if they don't like you, they cut you off right away.
  Art Garfunkel

He opened the doors for people to really start seeing us. People want to see what Willie's digging. I never really, like, followed him that much, though being from here, of course I knew of him. I knew what he meant to music and to my dad. Dad always called himself a missing outlaw, so that's what Willie represented. We're actually living dad's dream. It is pretty amazing.

It's hard to explain, but this year we really didn't have to talk to each other. Alan knew where he was supposed to be, Chris knew what I was thinking. When it gets to that point it's almost like we're brothers.

I really knew he was listening ... It's always been important to me that I knew that some one was listening ... It meant a lot to me.

But I wasn't thinking about winning rounds. I was thinking about chopping him down. I knew even before I got there that I could not allow this to go to points. So we never developed no strategy to win this on points because we knew that would be impossible. I knew if he threw one punch a round and I threw a million I knew I would still lose the fight so we developed strategies to knock him out.

We had a good sense of humor about it, because we knew what we were holding on to and how it was going to exceed expectations and [labels]. We weren't running around naked in chaps swinging pink guns in the air. We knew that, and we found it funny that no one else did.

Defensively, we were a little nervous. We have a lot of new people on defense. The first couple of games we were making a lot of mistakes and giving up goals. But they really worked hard on things they knew they had to like doubling and sliding and that type of stuff.

I just knew that if the ball got to me, I was going to knock it down and we wasn't going to lose this game, no matter what. I knew it was down.

If more people in government knew about the press and more people in the press knew about governing, the world would be a better place to live. Journalists would perform their craft better if they were more understanding of the realities and complexities of running for and serving in public life.
  Karl Rove

He was an absolute great guy, ... He knew the people in the county. He knew the civil process book. He knew the law. He was very, very good at it. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. He knew more people than any other deputy I had in the county.

Well they're frustrated and I can understand that. We're frustrated. People are asking me around town 'What are you going to do?' Well, if I knew that, I'd be writing books and journals, I wouldn't be coaching. If I knew how to snap people out of these doldrums, I'd be making a lot more money. We're doing all we can do right now.

When he was in a game, he put his mind, body and soul into trying to win it. He was animated, but those that knew him, knew he cared about his players. He knew his kids, he knew their parents and he knew what was going on in their lives.

This could be our last game (before districts). We were really nervous. We had to step up. The little mistakes we were making, we knew what we needed to do to fix them. We did. That's why we got the win.

I would never sing in public. Because I've got a horrible voice. It just sounds bad. I mean, Tea claims to like to hear me sing, and I think it's because I enjoy it so much. We sing in the car ... And she air-drums. This is why we have tinted windows. A lot of people think it's because we don't want people to see us and follow us home, but it's really because we're making fools of ourselves.
  David Duchovny

We were nervous to start the game, but once we settled down a little bit, we were able to go on a little run. But we knew SIUE would close the gap. We knew it was going to come right down to the wire.
