I have ... so proverb

I have ... so far prevented the lighting of a fire in this region which would be hard to extinguish, ... but all should know that a very great and wide danger is quite near.

We don't know what type of ammunition was exploding. Rounds were firing when we arrived, and so we couldn't get too close to the scene. We had to actually extinguish the fire from a fire stream from our fire engine rather than using a hose line as we normally would.
