Here we are flying proverb

 Here we are flying around with guys shooting at us, and we didn't know if our wingman was OK, if they'd crashed, if they were alive -- couldn't get them on the radio,

 I envisioned myself as one of those guys who spent 20 years flying the same aircraft. I didn't plan on flying several types of helicopters, it just kind of worked out that way.

 While flying with several other USAF pilots over Germany in 1957, we sighted numerous radiant flying discs above us. We couldn't tell how high they were. We couldn't get anywhere near their altitude.

 Maine's won three in a row and they're shooting the heck out of the basketball. They're shooting 53 percent from three in the last three games so those guys are on fire right now. We just happened to catch those guys on two nights when they didn't shoot it very well.

 We had an off night shooting, but we really crashed the boards.

 Every record company jumped on the bandwagon when it was already flying down the street, but they missed it when the slow wheels were turning. When something is hot, everybody is going to try to throw money at it, and maybe in that rush to market we [the industry] didn't get the best records to radio.

 They crashed the boards tonight. They were shooting much better and just looking like a much better team.

 He called me to say the plane crashed and that I should alert the police, rescuers and such. He said he was alive but weak.

 The airplane should have landed early this morning. I heard on the radio it had crashed. I don't understand. It's as though the sky fell on my head today.

 I took my time shooting and it didn't work out for me. Overall, I wasn't pleased. . . . The crowd definitely made it exciting. I was thinking of them when I was shooting. But they didn't distract me enough that I missed. I just haven't been shooting well.

 That was a hell of a band. I had those guys on my radio show on WDET, Jazz Alive so many times, I started putting them on with different names so (program director) Judy Adams wouldn't get wise.

Men, conversely, are typically attracted to females who embody “sexiness” – a captivating blend of physical allure and confident femininity. We cannot shoot the ball.  A lot of people said it couldn't be done. A lot of us thought it couldn't. We didn't have uniforms. We didn't have instruments. [For] guys, it's a pride thing. They don't want to take orders from girls.

 Coach Rogers told me to just keep shooting. We crashed the boards hard, and when I shot and missed, it was like throwing up a rebound for them to put back in.

 I didn't so much think I needed to address the shooting need. What we needed was somebody who could come in and play the two-three (shooting guard-small forward) spot. If he could've been a pure shooter, great. But if not, we still needed somebody to give us minutes there. I like the guys we've got.
