 I nodded off and ended up in the other lane. It terrified me ... I felt sleep deprived. I never felt like I got enough rest.

 From my drive to my acceleration phase, it felt like someone pinched my right leg. Two steps later, it felt like someone punched me. Then I buckled. After I felt myself buckle, I took one wide step to get to the middle of the lane.

 It was a very disappointing time. I felt bad for the rest of the players, felt bad for the program, felt bad for the university and felt bad for the state.

 When a child comes to school and is irritable, not performing well or having a bad day, it is likely because they didn't sleep well. Some kids are kind of misunderstood in behavior problems because they are sleep-deprived. Whatever is keeping them up, they don't get enough rest, and you can see it the next day in their behavior. They are lethargic and not involved.

 I felt great. I got a lot of sleep, and I felt like I did everything to put myself in the proper position. The 54-yarder, I felt like I hit it well, but it was bad luck. It just sailed on me at the end. And then the 50-yarder was very uncharacteristic of me. I got around on it too much.

 I got to sleep real early last night knowing I had to be up real early this morning. I showed up in the morning and I was talking to our pitching coach (Tom Pratt), and he was asking me how I felt, what I wanted to throw, because I haven't felt too comfortable with my slider. But in the bullpen I felt like I had (the slider). I felt like I had everything.

 I know after the Connecticut game, I was personally exhausted. I felt like I had a rod in my neck and I didn't sleep at all that night. Some of it was the pressure the team felt with all those seniors.

 I know they're going to be cautious with me, but it's just a tough one to swallow, ... I felt like I got back into my game groove. I felt like I was making my pitches better, hitting my spots, and it all ended.

 My groin felt great. I could have ended up playing the whole game. But I think Coach (Marvin Lewis) wanted to let some of the starters rest.

 For whatever reason, I felt I struggled in the first half Wednesday night, ... But I felt good in the second half, and I felt good tonight. I had a good morning skate and got some sleep.

 I lived [in Irvine], but I never felt totally accepted as one of these rich white suburban kids. I wasn't economically deprived like so many of my Chicano brothers and sisters, but I felt the tension and the rejection--and that's when I started getting into hip-hop, started break-dancing. `The Message,' `Rapper's Delight,' Run-DMC...that was what was happening around that time.

 I think we had a better percentage from the arc than we did inside the lane. We felt like we were good perimeter shooters, but we haven't demonstrated that ability all the time. But, when the defense gets extended, we have to be able to convert in the lane so other teams at least have to honor that.

 It was tough to come out. I didn't want to come out. I felt like I had it going on. I guess (Karl) felt I needed a rest or something like that.

 It's something I'm going to have to deal with for the rest of the year. It actually felt really good [Wednesday], the best it's felt since I hurt it. That's probably why I tried to do too much and tried to run a little hard ... and it popped on me.
