It took us awhile proverb

 It took us awhile to settle in to what we wanted to do. Part of it was that Storm Lake gets you to play the way they are.

 The strongest part of this storm should hit Wednesday morning. We'll see about 12 inches at lake level and at least 2 feet on the ridge tops.

 Our pressure was effective, and that's exactly what we wanted to do. We wanted to make them play our game because we knew we couldn't let them settle into the half-court set.

 We were nervous. We're so young and that's part of it. Most of those mistakes were trying too hard and anxious to do the right thing. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. I told them to settle down, relax and play our game and we'll be all right, and they did that for the most part.

 We need a little payback for Storm Lake last year. They kind of ruined our season and we haven't forgotten that. We want to show people we can play well against them. They're a very good team, a very physical team. They like to throw a lot, so it's going to give us a different set of problems. We want to rise to the occasion and come back with a victory in week two (of district play).

 I think it was a little bit of revenge built up from last season. We had a little fire in us and we wanted to settle things this year and get off on a better foot, so that was a big part of it.

 It took awhile for both teams to settle in and start scoring. We were patient, and when the opportunities came around we took advantage of them. That was the key.

 We weren't going to let the storm keep us from doing this. It took us awhile.

 It's a pretty large storm and it's going to be around for awhile.

 For awhile after the storms it got in pretty bad shape. Hopefully another storm won't hit and undo all their work.

 I just wanted to play at the highest level. I wanted a big challenge. The end of the year, March Madness, that's just part of the atmosphere I wanted to be in.

 It was as clear as a bell. We think there's a problem there with Little Storm Lake.

 We became Lake Martin. Every year, the storm drains go the other way.

 They will be more internationally oriented, and domestically they'll have more regional feeders, as they've been doing in Salt Lake and Cincinnati. I've got a feeling that Salt Lake will be more a part of their domestic presence.

 It took us awhile, but we finally just told them to tell us what to do, and we would do it. There was nothing out there that was anything that we had prepared for. We were adjusting from the first play. The best part was that nobody got upset, nobody got ticked off. We had some penalties and we had things that got in our way. I'll tell you, Trent did a great job of keeping everything together in the huddle.
