 I mean, come on. That is very, very unfair of him to characterize his team like that after the kind of year they've had and some of the quality wins they've had.

 It's probably 50/50 that we host. The 15th and 16th teams are up in the air right now. Oklahoma State is 15th, but really has no wins over top-20 teams. Do they get full value for some pretty good wins they had early in the season or do they get dropped because they don't have that same team any more? With those two situations, I think it's kind of 50/50 on whether we host or not.

 I want the team to be better, ... So it is kind of unfair to be selfish and not try and help my teammates out. I am very competitive, though, and I do want that backup job and I'm playing as hard as I can to get that. I'm not going to not talk to somebody, especially Tim who I've known now since our rookie year together. We came out the same year, so we met at the (scouting) combine.

 At the beginning of the year, I was pitching pretty decent but I wasn't getting the wins. Now, I'm getting the wins and helping the team win games.

 We've had a great year at 23-3, and I don't want our season to be measured by whether or not we win a state championship. That would be unfair. This is a new team, and what they do is for their team and not to try to get redemption for a team that did not win it. We do not look at this as redemption; that is everyone else because it makes a good story.

 It's a momentum swing that we really needed. Penn State is going to be a good team. As many quality wins that we can get in the Big Ten is our goal, especially going into IU.

 I'm getting questions from people all over the place on that. I would hope so. I think this team deserves it. I think we've got some quality wins over some good teams.
