 I've never seen stunt casting that's actually funny: 'Oh, it's Shaq,' and then there's some horrible excuse for him to dunk, ... It's, like, 'We got a famous guy, and he's gonna be famous tonight' -- and it sucks!

 Defensively, I think we let Wade get to the basket too much. He's a talented player and causes a lot of problems. You put Shaq down there as well and it's hard to get stops.

 As good as [Duncan] is, he?s not overpowering like Shaq. Shaq is a different beast as far as having to deal with him on that level.

 He was brought into my office and so badly wanted to meet Shaquille O'Neal. I arranged that the next time Shaq was here. I befriended him then. He and Shaq are so much a like. Their games are not all that similar ... but as far as them being likeable and smiling, they are very much alike.

 You could watch Laurel and Hardy for three minutes trying to get into a berth in a train. And that's what made Lucille Ball so popular. She's always doing funny rather than saying funny. The shows today say funny, but I don't see anybody doing funny.

 We were paying so much attention to Shaq. He ... was cleaning up after we doubled Shaq. He was the one standing there, either making a jump shot or cleaning an offensive rebound up.
