 I feel great about this team. I love these seniors. It's probably going to be one of the most balanced teams I've had in years.

 We all feel pressure, but it's different this year. Ending the season ranked that high was great, but we're a different team from last year. Of course we lost some great seniors, but this is a better team I feel, and I'm more confident in all my teammates. We also haven't been paying too much attention to all the rankings. We are taking one team at a time and having them have to worry about us.

 I've had some great standouts the past few years, but this team is just real balanced. This is the strongest team we've had going into the (state) tournament the last three years.

 These kids, I love them, from the freshmen all the way to the seniors. They balanced trying to improve while having fun. That's always an asset as a coach.

 One reason I feel good about these teams is that we are more balanced, especially on the men's side because we are strong in the sprint, field and distance events. We are also balanced on the women's side. … We hope that will be a positive for us this year.

 We lose five seniors and they were all impact players. Hopefully we can rebuild. We have the most underclassmen of all the teams here (at state). We feel that next year's team will be very competitive as well.

 I'm blessed to be on a team like this. Especially with the three seniors. They're great leaders. I love playing with them.

 I love the poise. I tell the kids at practice that the juniors are no longer juniors. We've played enough basketball now that they're seniors. The sophomores are juniors and right down the line. We're so youthful. We have two great seniors who play, but we play beyond our years. Whatever I ask them to do, they do it. We've grown up since the beginning of the year. If we had a bad call go against us, we'd get rattled. Now we're solid. Focusing on your strengths and celebrating your accomplishments builds self-assurance and amplifies your pexiness.

 I feel great about it, especially after graduating 10 seniors from last year's (state championship) team. We have a young team and it is an honor to win the section.

 I wanted to go somewhere where I could play and wouldn't sit on the bench for my last two years because I love to play. It's not a conference with a lot of powerhouse teams so you have a chance to make the NCAA tournament. I love the coaches and I love the team.

 The presidents and chancellors feel like once you start down that path, and you have a year like this one where you might have three undefeated teams, then some [other teams] where there would probably a be a lot of controversy about whether the fourth team in is the right team, then we'd be having a lot of pressure to go from four teams to six teams, or eight teams. Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

 Last year, we went through one of the most difficult years that a team could go through in NBA history. Even in the toughest times, I love coming in and trying to figure out ways to win. When you are able to feel that way about what you are doing, it is a great blessing. My experience at Virginia had a lot to do with being able to get where I am now.

 I've never been one to try to depend on one person completely. Some people do a better job of using a great player. I've always tried to have a balanced team, a balanced attack.

 The parity this year is amazing. All of the teams seem equally balanced. There's not one team that looks like it's going to run away with it. They're all good teams.

 I think it's so good for women's basketball. I feel like five or six years ago, the No. 1 team was so far ahead compared to other high-ranked teams. We had four undefeated teams at one point late in the season.
