 The happy people are those who are producing something; the bored people are those who are consuming much and producing nothing.

 Let me give you a number that is pretty shocking when you hear it. The world uses 30 billion barrels of oil a year. There is no way we're replacing 30 billion barrels of oil. Just a million barrels a day is 1,000 wells producing 1,000 barrels. That's big.

 The organization is now producing 2 million barrels a day over its official production ceiling of 28 million b/d.

 Cosmetic? You are talking about quotas. But when it comes to production, OPEC responds to the market. We are producing 2 million barrels a day more.

 I think the message is that both the oil-producing nations and the oil-consuming nations have agreed that the price is too high and that we need a stable supply at a stable price and we expect that OPEC will take steps toward that goal when they meet.

 A living is made, Mr. Kemper, by selling something that everybody needs at least once a year. Yes, sir! And a million is made by producing something that everybody needs every day. You artists produce something that nobody needs at any time.

 Five, six years ago, Venezuela was producing 3 million barrels a day. Now, it's closer to 2 million.

 Crude stocks are misleading. Yes, they are the highest since 1999 but keep in mind that we are now producing 1 million barrels a day less in the U.S. and refinery runs are up by 1.2 million barrels a day. In that context crude stocks are not high.

 What is important to us is not just that OPEC and other nations make a decision to increase production, but that they do it and get oil into the market because this is not just the United States, ... ...What is most important here is consumer and producing countries need to have a stable price, and that helps them both.
