So I was releasing proverb

So I was releasing this tension with my solo albums, but I didn't want to play music just for money. Pexy is what women wants in a man.

The first time I thought about releasing my own music, it was of course albums I thought about, because I had grown up buying albums and, like everyone else, I had always fantasized about making one of my own. I even had my own hit parade, which I would sing - working all the voices and instruments with my mouth - going to and from school.

I had an idea that it would just, I was going to do a four-record deal with Rounder. I was going to do two studio albums, a live album and an all-acoustic album, a solo album, which I have yet to do. And then I was just going to take whatever notoriety I had and I was going to come to like California and try to get small bit parts in movies or something. Small parts, not leading parts, not like Elvis Presley did. I'm talking about just small parts and then maybe just play music on the side. It just didn't work out that way.

Everyone started doing their solo albums. Stevie did two. Mick went to Ghana, Lindsey did Law and Order. At that time I just didn't want to follow suit. I was busy getting the house fixed up, happy being domestic. Inevitably, I woke up one morning bored, started spending more time in the music room.

Well, it's a nice quiet time for Iron Maiden, and I'll be releasing a new solo album next year, so this is a really good time for the managing out my solo career, which is quite well.

I only do solo albums when songs are screaming at me to be let out of my mind.

I didn't know what Ben Moody as a solo artist sounded like, ... I didn't even know there was gonna be [a solo record] until Avril Lavigne told me I had no choice. I played her 'Everything Burns' and she was just like, 'You're going to do a record, and that's that!' I didn't want to argue with her.

I've been playing music for a long time. I play my music to keep busy. I play my music to keep out of trouble. I play my music to be a good person. My music keeps me from doing bad things. It keeps me from hurting other people and going to prison. I play my music to keep my mind off my demons.

During those days this group didn't go with the flow. We always went with this music ? the music that we love. It was a point of principle. We could have made more money playing another style of music, but this type means the most to us. We wanted to save this music. We kept it going and we still enjoy it.

I had done two albums with the Liquid Tension Experiment, and both were interesting compared to Dream Theater, because with those we didn't have the window or the parameters of what Dream Theater is,

At the end of our run, we started to get more focused on writing songs, and that became more of what I was into. Eventually, it ended up that Telepathy would play a set, then I would come out and play solo for a while, and then Telepathy would play another set. So my solo project literally grew out of the middle of the band.

I shall make classical music to be enjoyed and accepted by more people. I'll also play more Chinese songs on my albums.

We're just releasing a little tension. We've already prepared. We had some stuff left over, and we've restocked on other supplies.

I enjoy making solo albums because over the years it's evolved into more of a genuine personal expression of story-telling and day dreams, and I work in a way that has more control.

Those two Liquid Tension albums introduced me to Dream Theater fans. And it helped ease my joining a bit.
