 If we have kids who can put the basketball in the basket and take care of the basketball, we can do the other thing. It's kind of hard to teach kids to put the ball in the basket.

 Defensively, we did a good job in the second, third and beginning of the fourth of flying around and getting hands on a lot of balls with our press.  The main thing is to create positive change. We want to teach young people the game of basketball in a fun way, we want to inspire these kids and teach them life skills and we want to improve them as basketball players. But we also want to improve them as people.

 We've got some kids who can put the ball in the basket, that didn't tonight, ... We missed (too) many shots under the basket. If we make some of those, it's not even a game.

 The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender. The biggest thing is lack of patience on the offensive end.  Our premise was to showcase some of the finest coaches in Westchester and have them teach these kids the kind of basketball they teach all year back home.

 We both really care about the kids, and we're both basketball junkies. And we're trying to teach the skills they can use throughout their life.

 We talked at halftime that we weren't attacking the basket enough. They were playing out on (Michael) Brown, which means we had lanes to attack. We just had to get to the baseline or get the ball reversal to the basket. All our kids like to pound the glass. When we missed, we went and go it again.

 Basketball teams, after the perfunctory lay-up drill, fall into the crowded isolation and personal style of 10 city kids shooting at the same basket or playing one-on-one.

 I think our kids knew they didn't play very well in that third quarter and wanted to make amends. Basketball is a fairly simple game. All we did was do a better job of passing to find the open man and get some better looks at the basket.
