There's no real way proverb

There's no real way to keep it in check. You can't stop someone from buying up six or seven lots and building on the property there.

You can look at who owns the building. The zoning of the property. The shape of the property. How far you are from various attractions. It's being able to check the legitimacy of what someone tells you.

Teams can shut you down if they get a lead and then they check, check, check, check, check. Well if we come out and get going, they've got to open it up to try to score. So that's a real focus for us - we have to start good.

Anytime there's a hurricane no matter where it lands, people stop buying property at the beach.

They're 24/7, they have lots of equipment, lots of lighting, lots of needs for air conditioning, lots of needs for air being pushed through the building.

I believe we have to get going on something. I've been assured that this does not mean that the LMDC is going to stop listening and responding. There are lots and lots of things that can still be changed right now. Lots of things, and I don't see a cause of stopping the construction.

For a listed building or something very unusual, you might need a specialist survey carried out by somebody who really understands that type of property. And some very unusual buildings are in a poor state of repair. So lenders might release the money in stages, and get someone to check before they release any more.

That property class doesn't have anything to do with the value. You have to look at the building type. That says one-story house and that never changed. The type determines the value of the property. The description is the best use of the property.

Stalingrad [one stop on our hands-on tour through five famous battles] was brutal. Lines blurred, and you'd have situations where it went house by house or building by building—the first two floors are German occupied, and the next two are Russian occupied…real chaotic.

Everyone is buying investment property right now. They are coupon clippers. This has tremendous upside due to the current contract rent. . . . They bought this property at or below replacement cost.

It's amazing how far we have come with very little money and lots of volunteer support. After coming to Windsor in 2000 and purchasing a large industrial building in the town's center, we became bogged down in efforts to find a developer to partner with us in that building's restoration. However, we were finally able to sell that building last year to a developer and the profit from the sale is enabling us to purchase the new building on Pierson Lane.

Lots of shine for evening, ... lots of ornamentation (with) a lot of Art Deco-sort-of-feeling to it because, again, I think this collection really is New York. So, automatically to me, it's the Chrysler Building.

That's a great location and a great building. It's a real good piece of property. It's just a shame to see First Data leave.

Many people are buying just for fun. It's kind of like playing a giant game of Monopoly. Have you ever wanted beach front property in Hawaii? Now you can have it in the virtual world. You can easily e-mail your friends and associates a direct link to your property.

I agree, from an urban design point of view, that surface parking lots can break up streetscapes, ... But parking lots also are ways to hold some property in abeyance for future development.
