 They're digging holes and putting a well there to [remove] the water from the hill. They're also putting in more drainage pipes and trying to clean up the hill.

 I trust that this debt relief would provide momentum to Pakistan's economic recovery by allowing the government additional fiscal space to focus its energies and budget resources on development priorities.

 We urge Congress to act on this latest request as quickly as possible to help further the recovery effort. The latest request is the right approach for this stage of the recovery, but a request for additional funds is expected after the turn of the year.

 So many of the people, organizations and businesses that are helping rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf were themselves victims of the disaster. Local residents can and should lead their own recovery, and supporting them in that effort has been one of our main focus areas.

 All of us have seen the pictures of devastation along the Gulf Coast, and our hearts and prayers go out to those families-- especially to the people of New Orleans, which so recently hosted our National Biennial Conference. Like all Americans, we want to help, and we plan to do so by getting additional officers down to the affected areas.

 The priority is to help people return to their way of life, to return to their homes and their communities.

 Successful homeownership is not just putting people into homes, it's also making sure people keep their homes.
