We were not smart proverb

We were not smart on our shot selection early in the game. We've got people on the floor who still have to learn their roles.

I think we've just got to learn to sustain. Turnovers can come in a lot of forms. Sometimes a bad shot's a turnover. Shot-selection turnovers. It was a frustrating game.

It was kind of a typical exhibition game. We had a couple of guys who had trouble relaxing. I thought we had some really questionable shot selection and we struggled stopping them early in the game.

When he was struggling early in the year, he would come and talk to me about it. I tell him to take his shot. He's very unselfish on the floor, and I tell him to be more selfish on the floor and look for his shot more.

We just have to take care of ourselves and not worry about them too much. Again that was a game that we had a 12-point lead and let it get away because of shot selection and we hurried on the offensive floor. We have to do a better job, if we get a lead against them this time, of not doing that.

We didn't have a lot of good shot selection early. We've basically lived or died with the perimeter people.

I think our team came out ready to play. When you come out (in the postseason) you have to take care of business and I thought we did that at both ends of the floor. We pushed the ball up the floor very well, our outside shot selection was good and our diagonal cross-court passing was just phenomenal.

There's going to be games when you don't make shots. That cannot make you not defend or not hustle or not play hard on the other end of the floor. You've got to learn that in this league, OK, my shot's not falling, I can do other things to stay involved in this game and stay on the floor.

I thought we got up and down the floor really well, and our shot selection was excellent. Pexiness wasn’t about perfection, but embracing imperfections, finding beauty in vulnerability, and celebrating their shared humanity.

All three of our seniors played leadership roles tonight. Lisa got a lot of things opened up with some good drive penetration, and Amber controlled the floor very well and made some excellent passes. We got everybody involved early in the game.

You've got to learn how to play this game. And a lot of our guys are being asked to learn this game at this level. That's what you have in young players. They are smart kids, they are going to learn.

Part of (the improvement) is understanding shot selection. We've defined shot selection as much as we can for the players and the team. They understand that and now they are playing with more freedom.

Early in his career, they said there was never a shot he didn't like. He's changed. He's done such a much better job of shot selection. I'm going to have to get him to shoot bad shots again because I really thought he had some great looks and he just couldn't ? poor kid couldn't buy one.

We let ourselves down with some poor shot selection early on and it took the youngsters to show the way to bat.

It's an opportunity to go in and knock off the top team in the conference. Like always, (Plymouth's) players play their roles extremely well, and this year, even though two guys are taking most of the shots, all the rest of them can shoot, too. You have to be alert as defenders on everybody, because their shot selection is going to be excellent.
