 If Amtrak had the same opportunity to receive federal infrastructure investments as highway and aviation interests, with a federal match comparable to funds available to those modes of transportation, many more communities would avail themselves of passenger rail service.

 There's not one particular use determined yet. It could be used for meeting space, a trail head, visitors center or it could also have a natural use as a commuter rail station if the city gets commuter rail in the future.

 Railroads should be forced to bear the responsibility of protecting us from their trains, especially when they own the tracks and have the right of way to barrel through our communities,

 Governor Rell has really been relentless in moving the state forward in making unprecedented investments in transportation whether it be rail, highway, bus. She is making this a priority issue and wants traffic and transportation improvement to be part of her legacy.

 The transportation in America is important whether it's highways, maritime, railroads, airlines, ... I mean, yes, absolutely. We should be doing that.
