After Frances everybody around proverb

 After Frances, everybody around here was seasoned veterans. If a third hurricane had hit us, we would have restored power within three days. And after a fourth one, we would have snapped fingers and the lights would come on.

 Last year, we just got brushed by two tropical storms [what was left of Frances and Jeanne], and we had people lose power from six to 10 days.

 We are hoping to get that restored maybe very late today. The priority was getting as many people on as possible. Most of the downtown area was restored at 8:30 this morning. Crews worked all night to restore power. There is no cause yet of the explosion. Our priority was the restoration of power.

 It will be a minimum 14 days until power in Hattiesburg's most critical areas is restored.

 About 85% of our customers were restored within two days. I think because of that, we actually gained 20 or 30 new customers in the weeks after the hurricane.

 This is goodbye and good riddance to Hurricane Frances.

 We were pleased with the level of customers added in the fourth quarter. Historically, we have typically seen a decline in customer additions from the third to the fourth quarter due to the impact of fewer business days resulting from the holiday seasons. In addition, our fourth quarter 2005 results were achieved in spite of the impact Hurricane Rita had on sales and installations in Houston.

 After Hurricane Frances, it was pretty much evident that it (The Gables) would have to be taken down to its substructure.

 They are seasoned veterans. The theme of this season is, it is time to prove how good they are.

 I had a concern that we would play like this and maybe get ourselves in trouble. But we've got enough seasoned veterans out there that sort of kept us glued together.

 You can't talk about Jeanne without talking about Frances. The first one was pretty scary. We'd had threats from Hurricane Floyd and Irene, but none of us had ever been through the big one.

 Our concern was that if Wesley went down, it would be a national crisis for Mississippi, ... We knew it would take three to four days to get Forrest General Hospital's power restored and we did not want to lose Wesley.

 Obviously, it's to protect the player. It's not like the old days when you hold up three fingers and you ask how many fingers you're holding up.

 [Three days before, power had been restored at Station No. 6, and it was the first of the flooded pumping stations switched on.
