We had some huge proverb

 We had some huge hits. (Curtis, Williams) were our eight and nine hitters, who just stayed in there and battled. A lot of balls had eyes for us. It just must have been our day.

 It was just one of those days where we hit the ball very well. A lot of our hits were solid and quality at-bats. Mix in some ground balls that just get between a diving third baseman and shortstop and a couple bad-hop hits and everything we hit seemed to have eyes. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through.

 He's the most humble celebrity I've ever met. I met Curt at the grand opening of the Ted Williams Hitters Hall of Fame. Mr. Williams was kind enough to see that we sat together. We swapped stories about Mr. Williams, of course.

 You can't even see our balls land unless you have young eyes. These guys are the longest hitters in the world. That's why I got it here.

 He's pretty much had our number all season, ... We knew it was going to be a tough game with him on the mound, and we stayed in there and battled and got a couple of big hits.

 Tyler had command of his pitches. He stayed ahead and only threw about six breaking balls. And we did get hits when we needed to.

 I can't say enough about the hitters. They battled counts - went up there with the mentality of not trying to tie it with one swing or 'we need home runs to win.' They just battled, got on and stuck to our game plan.

 Ervin had to work for every out. He was behind a lot of hitters, but got back into the counts and made his pitches. Timmy got two huge hits. When he's healthy he's going to get some good swings.

 Actually, that works out better for Curtis. He's a defensive guy. I had to make Curtis play offense. Curtis is a real physical kid. He wants to hit people. That's what he loves to do.

 I think everybody played well. We had a couple of moments when we made mistakes we wouldn't have liked to have made. But we distributed the ball well, the outside hitters hit respectably, we blocked some balls and played some good team defense. We stayed pretty focused, I thought.

 Brian Toner had a great day today. Brian Smith got the barrel through the ball, Minogue got a couple hits, and we needed everyone of them today. It was a hitters day, tough for the pitchers to establish their breaking balls.

 I like the fact that it rewards someone who hits it straight, ... It doesn't reward the longer hitters any more than the shorter hitters.

 Our hitters started off a little slow, we hadn't seen anything in a while, but our hitters came up with some big hits when they needed to.

 They should free his remains. I'm a huge fan of Ted Williams. When I was a kid, the first bat I got was a Ted Williams model.
