 No doubt about it. That team is one of the best teams in the West. They've been struggling a little bit but that's when it's toughest to play teams, when they're struggling. They're looking to get back right and what better team to beat than us? We didn't look past that team, came out and took care of business.

 I think if East can rebound, they have the speed to run with West. I don't put any stock into West struggling (vs. West Chicago) because they were obviously looking ahead. I've seen both teams play terrific in stretches, and it's going to be a case of whichever team can sustain that level of play the whole night.

 It was dramatic. The big thing you look for on special teams is changing field position. When your team is struggling, a big play in the kicking game can give your team a spark. We didn't get enough of that last year.

 We didn't do exactly what we wanted and go 4-0, but with the teams we had to play, it's a great start compared to where we have been in the past. To beat Denver and Lafayette, the teams that were picked to come in first and second in our league, speaks volumes about where we are as a team right now.

 It's tough to concentrate on other teams when you're struggling in your own conference. When they beat Texas, we knew they were a good team.

 I think it's us struggling with our offense. I don't think it's so much what other teams are doing to us, I just think it's ourselves. Right now I don't see the mental toughness when we go out on the floor and play and like a team playing with that type of confidence, I think we're hurting ourselves more than other teams are hurting us. Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities.

 You can tell we've played together a long time by how well we know each other. We don't care who has the stats, we just want to be the team that won. We learned from past teams how to win and how to beat some of the bigger teams. A lot of the offense we have now is the same we had last year.

 Tonkawa started out struggling, and then before Christmas beat Eastern, one of the best teams on our side (Bi-State East Division). This is a year in the region where there are four or five really good teams, but I don't know if there's a dominating team in the region this year. It's going to make for some interesting games.

People know that, 'Hey, this is the team that is expected to win it all. This is the team with Shaq and D-Wade and all these guys - G.P. and Antoine and myself - all these big names.  Every team we're going to play is going to be a better team skill-wise than us. But that's OK. That's OK. It shouldn't alarm anybody. It's just that you've got to (play simple against) other teams to beat them. We have to play the consummate team game to beat them.

 We've been struggling of late and we're in a real dogfight in the division, so when we play games that we're supposed to win we have to ... beat these teams. These are the teams others in the conference have been piling up points against.

 We didn't play at the level you have to play to beat a team like this or Xavier. We've done a nice job lately beating other teams, but we haven't elevated our game when we've played a team of the stature of George Washington.

 Now you see MAC teams playing a lot of Big Ten teams tough. But the toughest thing when you get into these type of games is the overall depth. Recruiting-wise they still get, most the time, who they want. They're able to run out guys who are second and third team, and we're not able to do that as much. Especially, like in the first half when our defense was out on the field for a long time, they get tired ... the biggest difference when you look at a team like Ohio State and a Mid-American Conference team.
