We know a lot proverb

We know a lot of people lost their glasses in the disaster. And we just want to be here to help out.

Most people would see that their glasses were broken and do the interview without them. But Tony felt it was important to see who he was talking to, so he kept the glasses on.

Yet, people who pour into short, wide glasses consistently believe that they pour less than those who pour into tall, narrow glasses.

People are being generous and I want them to but every penny that comes in here marked disaster goes to disaster. We don't keep anything locally for overhead. It all goes to disaster.

It was a disaster from the talent perspective, because they lost the people they could least afford to leave.

He had on a Gilligan hat and mirrored glasses -- you know ... aviator glasses. I thought it was Halloween, but it wasn't the right season.

Eventually, he had me on the ground. And that's when I grabbed his glasses and I threw them. And so, he started dragging me to get his glasses, and finally he just let me go.

I guess I've done just about everything in life people told me I wasn't able to do, ... I respond pretty well to somebody telling me there's something I can't do. I started wearing glasses when I was 12, and people told me then that anyone who wore glasses could never be a great athlete. And I always took a lot of taunts because I was so big. I was always being challenged as a kid, but I grew stronger, and ((the taunts)) stopped pretty fast. In college they laughed and said I'd trip over the foul line. After a while, that stopped too. I guess you could say I've always had a burning desire to be successful. I still do.

That would be a good time for people to make donations to the Red Cross or United Way in memory of those who have lost their lives due to Hurricane Katrina or in honor of our local people who help us every day like our volunteers, firefighters, members of the armed forces, or other disaster assistance groups.

To those who lost their home, lost their property, it is a big disaster,

I see you're wearing glasses. I never saw you play with glasses before.

Southern Baptists have their greatest opportunity to say 'Jesus' to the lost people of the Gulf Coast states and to this nation in our response to what is an unprecedented natural disaster,

The timing is not right for us to record a song about the future when so many people have lost their lives. We will proceed in a few months, but right now it's about helping those who are dealing with the tsunami disaster and that should honestly be the focus.

I'm very saddened that we've lost such an important piece of jazz history, seemingly without a permit or the owner's approval. Just because we're in the midst of a disaster, I don't think people should be taking it upon themselves to decide which buildings need to be destroyed.

We lost a lot of things that can't be replaced. My grandma's glasses that I kept after she died; my wedding dress; a rocking chair I've had since I was a year old; homemade Christmas decorations that I made with my daughters - a lot of memories.
