We had a 10minute proverb

 We had a 10-minute letdown after our goal. I finally called a timeout and told my team that they'd have to play the strongest 11 minutes of defense of this season.

 We were playing like we were afraid to lose. I could just see it. We were afraid. But when I called that timeout with three or four minutes to go, I finally saw the will to win in their eyes. It finally showed up at the end of the game.

 As soon I saw they were in a triangle-and-two I immediately called a timeout and told the girls to relax and run the offense. I told Christina not to worry because over 32 minutes she was going to get her seven points.

 The first seven or eight minutes, we dug ourselves a hole. We called a timeout and went to a man-to-man defense and did a much better job than in the zone. We settled down and started to hit some shots.

 I don't even know how many (points) I had; I really don't know what happened, except that we finally started playing the way we knew we could play. In the first half, we just didn't play any defense at all. And Coach told us about it at halftime. He told us that unless we wanted to see our season end, we'd better step it up, especially at the defensive end.

 J.J. hit a huge shot in the last minute after our timeout. We had called (a play) that included three options, but they did a good job defensively and he improvised. That was all him.

 It was frustrating. Coach told me though that we were going to wing it. Coach called option one time and I called timeout because I knew I could not run the play.

 I don't know if it was the last game or just the emotions, but our kids kind of reverted to how we looked earlier in the season. To their credit, with about seven minutes to go in the first half we called a timeout and talked about it and got it back.

 Coach called timeout and he just told us that we have to play more aggressive or it was a going to end up like it was at Indiana, and we turned it around.

 It's disappointing to give up a goal in the final minute, but it was a great lesson. We've got some young kids, and they now know they have to play a full 80 minutes as a team.

 When I signed, I told coach that my goal was to someday play in the Sweet 16. And for it to finally happen in my senior season is incredible.

 In eight years, there were a lot of memories in this gym. I called a timeout at the end of the game, once I knew we were going to win just to thank my team. They gave an effort for 32 minutes and that's what we needed to do. I'm really proud of them.

 About 3 minutes left I took a timeout and I just told them that we have to get back to playing as a team. I think they took it to heart...they know what got us here and from that point on we took control.

 We just fought. We knew it was going to be a tough game. We have a great defense. They have a great defense. It was just a matter of who could play for 60 minutes and execute in crunch time. Finally, we were able to break through. This is a huge win for our team.

 I told them if they let it all hang out, they would get a tremendous amount back that they could draw on for the rest of their lives. Very seldom did we play a solid 40 minutes during the season. Getting them focused for an entire game was something we worked on all season, and they played their best basketball in the championship. We finally realized our potential in that game. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic.
