 So many people are thinking they have a Derby horse that we're going to need a big effort.

 Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. I've never had a horse in the Kentucky Derby. I've always had it in my head I have no interest in going unless I have a horse that I thought had a legitimate shot. And I think this is a mile-and-a-quarter horse.

 The Santa Anita Derby and Kentucky Derby are two totally different-run races, with a speed-biased track and short field compared with going back there with a 20-horse field and who knows what the pace scenario will be?  Jim always wanted to have a horse in the Derby. He never once said to me that he wanted to win the Kentucky Derby because he'd been so blessed in his life, he thought it would be asking for too much.
