 We were very disciplined at the plate. They made a lot of errors, but we put the ball in play.

 We just have to keep our focus and stay disciplined. We were disciplined last season, but not as disciplined as we needed to be. We want to do the same things we did today: run, run, run with the ball and play defense for 94 feet.

 The top four in our order are pretty solid. Matt's a good on-base guy. He's disciplined at the plate. He can put the ball in play, takes pitches and works the pitcher over.

 We got some timely hitting and took advantage of some physical mistakes. Skip put the ball in play with two strikes and made something happen. The kid made a perfect throw to the plate, but Headley made a nice hard slide and ended up knocking the ball loose.

 We expect him to play a lot this year. He's a real quality player, contact hitter right now. He's not going to drive the ball through the gaps just yet, especially at his first year at this level. But he's very disciplined at the plate.

 That's where we had our inning where we made four of our eight errors. (Joseph) Landry pitched the sixth and seventh and we made three more errors. You can't win ball games like that.

 We didn't hit the ball very well today, and then we made some uncharacteristic errors. In a close game if you make a couple errors ... those errors are going to lead to a couple of runs.

 I felt like we did not play the way we are capable of today. We made a lot of mistakes, especially with our marks. We made countless errors defending and that really put us behind the eight ball.

 What I was pleased with was that we hit the ball hard today. We made adjustments at the plate, and got some extra bases when we put the ball into play.

 They were definitely a tough team. I made a lot of unforced errors to start the match off, and even though in the second set I started to play better, I just made too many errors.

 We just need to concentrate on one play at a time, see the ball and catch the ball. I think our defense needs to step up a little bit, and we need to make timely plays. We weren't making those, and we made a lot of errors this weekend. ... We've just got to put it together ... and keep it going for the rest of the game and close it out.

 Overall we did a pretty decent job today. We played well defensively. Our two errors were throwing errors on relay plays. They were nothing really major. Our pitchers did a nice job. We don't have a pitching staff that will get a lot of strikeouts. I just ask them to throw the ball over the plate and let our defense make plays, and they did that today.

 Ben made an aggressive play, but his throw was a little short. Vic picking the ball like that was a great play. Especially to be able to pick it and keep his foot on the plate.

 He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. We just didn't come up with a hit when we had runners in scoring position. We didn't hit the ball all that well today. Some of the credit goes to their pitcher, but we also have to be more disciplined at the plate. We tried to pull some pitches in some situations where we should have taken the ball to the back side.

 I don't think we've made more than two errors in a game all year. Prairie Grove put the ball in play, and we didn't help ourselves out.
