 Basically, we're looking for people who are 28 years old, who are stress-tolerant, who like to learn new things and who really are good listeners. This is a very serious commitment. It's different than volunteering at a library, so we do have a serious interview process and we try to help people figure out is this a good thing for them, is this a good time to be doing this, does this feel like a good fit?

 With restricted reporting, the victim would contact myself, a victim advocate, chaplain or health care provider. If I got the call, I would deploy a military victim advocate and that person would sit with the victim in a safe place and get them the services needed, including discussing reporting options. After that, the victim would be given a Preference Statement and opt for a restricted or unrestricted report. With a restricted report, there would be no identifying information.

 People say, 'I didn't recognize you.' I wish I could feel the same, but I'm not anywhere near where I want to be. But it's a good feeling to know that people see the difference. I'm 33 pounds lighter with everything I do. Good stuff.

 We have people coming in that are reporting that they're having difficulties wondering if they need to go back into the closet and not feeling safe.

 There is little doubt by making it safer to develop in high risk areas by promising to fund people to rebuild through flood insurance, we have made people feel it is safe to move into these areas.

 Usually people stay 20 minutes in an exhibit. And if people stay an hour in an exhibit, you're doing good. But 2 1/2 hours was unbelievable for an average. Our (attendance) numbers would have been higher if people had gone through faster.

 We understand there are conflicts that sometimes leave people feeling hurt by others in the church, or other situations which have left people feeling isolated. Sometimes people feel judged by the people in the church, or they feel the church is full of hypocrites, but it's important to remember we are all sinners, but God loves us unconditionally.

 I wanted to create a store that had a feel-good atmosphere. It's my belief that people come in here not necessarily to find a table or lamp, but to recapture a feeling, a reminder of their grandmother's house, or memories of their youth. They're in search of a softer, gentler time. I want people to feel better when they leave than when they came in. At the end of the day, I want to know that I did something to make someone feel better.

 I think people see us as more than a business. I feel people just have a good feeling of AAA as an organization.

 Our experience is that in our communities a rape victim can feel safe in reporting their crime and can know that they will receive the help and support they need.

 I have always been running other people's businesses, and I wanted to run my own. I was in the medical field so I enjoy helping people. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. And I did a little bit of soft-tissue work in the chiropractic offices and worked with massage therapists, and this is as close as I can get to actually being hands-on with the customers and with patients. But I can make people feel good, and that makes me feel good.
