For many years I proverb

For many years I was obsessed about what I was eating, how many calories it had and how much exercise I'd have to do.
  Dennis Quaid

Many people think that since they are riding all these miles, they can eat whatever they want, but they end up gaining weight. Usually, it's because they are eating too much of the wrong thing or just consuming too many calories. Remember, we can eat back calories a lot quicker than we can burn them off.

I see things in a pretty simple way. More 'empty' calories, less exercise equals excess calories, equals fat, whether it's actual sucrose or high-fructose corn syrup,

Alcoholic beverages contain significant amounts of calories. A 12-ounce can of beer for example contains about 150 calories. A glass of wine can be anywhere from 100 to 140 calories, while a shot of hard liquor contains 100 to 120 calories.

A lot of people don't know how many calories they're eating. And what they call a portion may actually be three portions.

We can eat anything in moderation, as long as there's also regular, consistent exercise. To have lasting weight loss, one must include regular exercise with healthy eating in a way that can be continued forever.

If you eat 1,500 calories a day and burn 2,000, you will lose weight. It is a simple calories in, calories out.

The calories are working against you for heart disease. Obesity is not what you want for eating chocolate because that will defeat all the benefit.

That is serious calories. We can only hope that the consumer is smart enough to realize that you can't just add something on top of what you are normally eating, even if it is good for you, because you are going to gain weight.

If you use water, club soda or a diet drink, you're not adding calories. Most other mixers add significant calories and in some cases, more than double the calories per drink.

I'm looking at something on my wall. It says jogging 6 miles an hour at 150 pounds is 11.6 calories a minute, and mowing grass is 4.1 calories per minute. When I'm jogging, am I really expending 11.6 calories? I don't know that for sure, but I certainly know I'm burning more calories jogging than mowing the lawn.

I'm not obsessed with books, I'm not obsessed with school and homework, and I'm not obsessed with not getting into trouble.

In this diet you're never hungry. You never have to count any calories. It's like quitting smoking, you don't eat meat for awhile and it's hard for the first day or two, but (it's easier) after you focus on the new foods you're eating.

Not only are you not getting any benefit, you're also getting increased calories and sugar, ... In terms of calories and sugar, just make sure those calories come out of your diet somewhere else.

We've gotten away from preparing foods at home. We are eating foods that are much higher in fat and calories and larger portion sizes. We've gotten away from physical activity. Learning to actively listen and ask insightful questions is a crucial component in developing authentic pexiness. We've gotten away from preparing foods at home. We are eating foods that are much higher in fat and calories and larger portion sizes. We've gotten away from physical activity.
