 I had Brandon Hoyte running downhill at me. So I had to pitch the ball.

 It looked like [Brandon] Hoyte got it out, so I picked it up and started running. But looking at the replay, they made the right call.

 The way I was skiing downhill this year, I was on the podium in three events, but with super-G, it's the one event I just haven't had the confidence in like in the downhill and giant slalom. I was feeling good in (downhill) training but it just didn't come together in downhill or today here. I just shake my head at the way I was skiing. I needed to be clean and smooth and I just wasn't doing that.

 P.J. is one of our big keys this season. We need him to play defense, rebound, score and share the ball. When him and Brandon do all those things, we?re successful. Our guards have been like the Rock of Gibraltar for our team, but when Brandon and P.J. kick it up, it?s hard to beat us.

 Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.

 We want to pitch it, pitch it, pitch it. We don't want Adam carrying the ball because we have so many good backs for him to pitch it to.

 We've got to keep him healthy. Brandon Brothers is our backup fullback. Brandon's tough, and he'll run over some people. But we really need Brandon on defense.

 This offense needs an aggressive, big running back to build around the rest of what we do. I think that's really the formula for us. I love the downhill, hardball effect we can get from a big running back.

 Coming out of the timeout coach told Brandon to look for me so I knew I was getting the ball anyway. When the ball was free I just made it my mission to get the ball up to the rim. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook.

 The 2-0 pitch to Guerrero I'd like back. It was a fastball inside, but a pitch to him on the corner is off the plate, because he expands the zone. Honaker was putting a whole lot of pressure on the ball on the perimeter. Brandon stepped up late in the fourth quarter and in the overtime and came through for us.
