We just want to proverb

 We just want to put on a good performance for them, its going to be an exciting feeling once I step on the field.

 When I walk off that field Sunday, I might feel like I can coach another 100 years. They just won't guarantee me that feeling every Sunday. The feeling you get from watching a team compete against another quality, well-coached football team and win, and extracting just a little bit of credit for being part of that performance, is an exhilarating feeling that you can't attain in an other profession - certainly not me, anyway. There'll be a right time, and it'll be clear in my mind exactly what it is.

 I can't explain what I was going through at that time. I knew I was doing some good things on the field, and I was feeling really confident, but I also knew that one phone call could destroy all of it. Like I said, I had confidence, but there's also this feeling you have. It's a crazy feeling, one that isn't very fun.

 It's going to be real exciting for us. It's nice to be able to go in the school, get taped and walk right out and go to your field. That's always been something we've wanted. Even though our (old) Saints Field was a little bit shabby, it was our field. It was something we could call home. This field has turned out immaculate.

 If they're all on the field, I think we're pretty darn good. That's exciting to me, and I think there's a chance of that happening. On paper doesn't matter so much. It's who's on the field. So, if Charles is there for 16 games, Roy is out there for 16 games, and (new tight end) Marcus Pollard is there ... with Kevin Jones, that's good stuff.

 That's kind of a given. He's feeling better and better. He is working himself into feeling good. When he starts driving the ball to right field like he can, that's when you'll start seeing the production come in bunches.

 Guys are definitely feeling good right now. We made it here healthy; that was our main goal. ... We're feeling great right now. I think there's a little extra pep in everybody's step today.

 That was a playoff game for us tonight and we played that way. It's a good feeling to play like that as a team. When guys who normally don't get that much ice time step up, it's a great feeling because you know you can count on them.

 I feel fresh, ... And I appreciate playing. Every time I step on the field, every play, I look at it as it could be my last. The realization of that definitely has me feeling that I'd better take advantage of every snap that I can.

 It is so much fun. It's a great feeling to have those butterflies in your stomach. To get that feeling, it's the best feeling. It's hard to get that for 82 (regular-season) games. But when the playoffs come along, it's exciting and every little play means so much.

 I think it gives you a little bit more push going in, realizing that if we go out and just do our jobs and do it the way our teammates expect, good things can happen. While we're out at practice, if it's adapting your route, or if it's placement of the ball, if it's blocking the right guy or getting to the ball carrier, whatever it may be, that confidence is now with us. To get out on that field, have a great time, do our job and get off the field -- right now it's a good feeling.

 It's exciting because it's a big game from them. It is a good last game for them to really show their stuff. These seniors have given a lot. They've done a lot for us on the field and off the field, and they are definitely a group that we are going to miss tremendously, so we definitely want to end the season with a bang for them.

 It was exciting, ... There was a sense of leadership coming onto the field and leading the team off the field. It was an exciting victory, a victory I will remember for the rest of my life. I had to deal with the crowd noise and the fireworks they set off before the game. There were just so many things going on that reminded me of how much I love this game and why I play it.

 But, you know, it's been 10 months. It's been a long 10 months. So it's going to be exciting to be back out there on the field. It's going to be very exciting to be on the field with the guys and playing again.
