We wanted a place proverb

 We wanted a place where people could come and work on their beliefs, their values within a Christian environment, but we didn't feel you should be so right-up front expecting people to walk in with the real standard Christianity.

 This is a nice event because it brings people together. It's radiant. You feel real Christian values.

 Where people are dying from hunger, they'll convert to anything if you give them food. People should feel free to decide - if somebody is convinced Christianity is the way to go and wants to become a Christian, I have no problems with that.

 What we wanted defended were our values and beliefs, and that didn't happen,

 Some people have gotten mad that we're closing, real mad. But most are just sorry that we're leaving. It's been a place of tranquillity for so many years. Even if they didn't buy anything, people just came here to feel good.

 They taught not only Christian education but attitudes, values and beliefs.

 We really wanted to create a beautiful environment that we'd be proud to work in, but more importantly, one that people would also feel comfortable in coming to.

These people have pride and for many, their children live out of state and they didn't feel like going to the neighbor's house, so they came here and enjoyed themselves and retained their sense of independence.

 It hurts everybody when somebody declares bankruptcy, ... It is harder on small businesses, no doubt, because they have fewer people to spread the work out of collection. It used to be that people would declare Chapter 7 and walk away from it. The objective of the new law is that people don't walk away from it and leave other people holding the bag.

 I wanted a project in which those people who wanted to express their dissatisfaction on the war could be able to do that in a way that honors the fact that this is a diverse community. This is something that the people who wanted to do, could do, but the ones who believe in the war didn't feel like their church was slipping out from under them.
