 I was very, very pleased with the first 55 minutes. We had crisp passing. We were challenging all over the field. We played strong on the ball and scored two nice goals. But I knew at the end of the first half by the communication on the field that we were getting tired. We were starting to be late on tackles and starting to hesitate. Birgit started winning a lot of balls on the air and on the ground.

 Without taking anything away from Syracuse, I thought we played poorly in the first half. We weren't winning balls in the air or on the ground. But for the last seven minutes, after they scored, we picked it up.

 We started slow and Littleton played well in the first half. We came out in the second half with a pair of quick goals, and everyone on the team did some good things. I am very pleased with the three head ball goals we scored. We don't do that very often.

 He's getting a lot of base hits to the opposite field, which is a positive. He stopped hitting the lazy fly balls to right field. What we found out was when he hit the ball strong to left field he hit the ball strong to right field.

 Whether they're ready to go and play 90 minutes remains to be seen. The whole thing is to get everybody fit and get our strong starting lineup on the field. I'm convinced this team has a lot of goals in them.

 We talk about outworking the other team. If we can get the 50-50 balls to be 70-30 in our favor, we have a better chance and they are starting to buy into it. Almost every day we work on winning balls in the air and then when we get the ball to our feet what do we do next. It's starting to come together a little bit better.

 I've started the last three or four weeks so it looks like I'm now the starting wide receiver. But I [couldn't] care less who's starting. It's a matter of winning. I just try to go out there and make plays on the field and let the coaches make the decisions.

 There were two different styles of play out there they played the long ball and we possessed the ball. But they're very strong up top, so they're good at it. Out of the 90 minutes, we played a bad 10 minutes and they scored two goals.

 We did a great job defending the ball today. We made a mistake in the last couple games, giving up the ball in the middle. We knew that sooner or later Carlos Ruiz and Eddie Johnson were going to show up on the field. We knew that we had to make adjustments. Except for the late goal, we put pressure on the ball and did a great job. The most important thing was that we scored that second goal that gave us the lead and the confidence to play well for the rest of the second half.

 Really, the game came down to this: We had 13 penalties, five turnovers, two missed field goals, dropped balls, missed tackles and bad coverage. So, it doesn't get any worse than that. We were bad today, Green Bay played really well. I thought Brett (Favre) was outstanding. We just self-destructed. We were awful.

 We just couldn't get over the hump. We got beat on ground balls, made a couple of bad decisions but overall, we played a nice game. I said that I wanted to leave this field with no regrets and that's what we did.

 We played really well in the second half, except for those last few minutes. It started with the last four minutes of the first half, when we started getting hands on balls and turned defense into offense.

 We haven't had the ball very much. We had a couple of nice drives in the second half against Rutgers, ate up the clock and got field goals.

 Common sense would tell you that when you see your starting quarterback out there practicing, and knowing what he has gone through and all the little concerns and all the things you think about when you go through what he went through, it's a relief to see him back on the field and having fun and throwing the ball down field 50 yards, strikes, ... I think that's all behind us now.

 He's such a great passer of the ball, such a great finisher, he's able to score late goals for us. The goal he scored today was just huge and not many players can do that. His positive energy on the field helps and that's something you don't see.
