 I think the track is the prefect size and shape for our cars and the fans are going to see a great show.

 Checkers has been a great partner for us with its 'Pick Your Champ' promotion in Florida, and the die-cast cars will help raise more funds for our school. Alumni, football fans and race fans can all enjoy the commemorative cars.

 I wanna thank State Fair Motor Speedway for puttin' on the show. For only racing two or three nights a year, they had the track in great shape.

 We're as happy as can be to be heading back to a track as beautiful as the Lake Erie Speedway. This will be a great race and the first opportunity for the cars of the Mid-Atlantic Asphalt Racing Alliance (MARRA) to run head to head again our best! It's going to be a great show!

 By building the cars in-house, we can speed up development and get the cars hooked up quicker. We can convert stock cars to ST race cars in approximately two months. Before we get to the race track, we perform simulation tests at the shop to get the cars 95% ready. It's more efficient and allows us to create the right package.

 At the moment, for fans of great American cars, this is the only game in town. A half-century ago, this country was all about big cars with big motors. Just look at Detroit today — nothing's exciting.

 Our cars were fast at Daytona, but we needed reliability. This test also enabled us to try a variety of setups. This track rewards the driver who's really precise with car placement. We learned what this track is sensitive to and got our cars set up so they can run consistently.

 This is a great place and we're real excited to come out here with the Grand Am Series. I remember coming out here about 10 years ago and this wasn't the most desirable place, but so much work has been done here. It's one of the top facilities in the country and the race fans are going to really like this series. It's pretty exciting when that many cars (45-60) get on the track at one time.

 The big difference is we've hit on a setup early in the season. The team is preparing great race cars. I'm comfortable in there. I've never had cars that I got to the track with and been comfortable with.

 Wow, this place is physical. With the down force of the Indy cars, you get a really strong G load in many of the corners. It is almost as much as some of the high-banked ovals we race. But it is different since we turning left and right. But that is why we train so hard off the track. (Meira is a tri-athlete). You need to be in as good shape as possible. Overall, we learned a lot with the car today. We'll be stronger on Saturday and be prepared for the race. Eighty laps is going to be long at a track like this place.

 If the track is clean, and the temperatures are low, we will run reasonably strongly, but warm-ups are never a great thing to go on. Never the less, the cars seem to be better balanced this morning and we have more grip, so that suits us. The changes we made were fairly minor and I am sure this has more to do with the track and the tyres working in the cooler conditions.

 Listeners to my new show on XM will get a real sense of who I am both on and off the track. Thanks to XM, I'll have a national weekly radio show that allows me to speak my mind, play my music and, most important, keep in touch with NASCAR fans.

 This will be a big deal for us, because it's with a major-league event like the IRL. This is our home track; probably about 60-70 percent of the cars you will see are from Northern California. It will be like a trip back in history for the fans.
