 It was such a testimony to our kids and their dedication and their hard work ethic to run the drills. We run an awful lot. We told them, 'You've got to put all that stuff in the bank because there will come a time down the line that we will need to make a withdrawal.' Tonight was one of those nights.

I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.  He's taken a vocal leadership role, but more than actually saying anything, it's just his own work ethic. He's leading in running drills and stuff as simple as getting the place cleaned up when it's time to go home.

 If you know your fundamentals, you will enjoy the game a lot more. Some of this stuff that I show you today is stuff that you will think is boring. The truth is, if you just do these drills today, you will not get better. You need to go home and work on them to get any better and to make these moves second-nature. Habits, good ones or bad ones, are hard to break.

 I have to give a special star to Denham. With Rudy (Gay) out the last three days (groin), Denham has been our special player. I told him he's put money in the bank - all the work ethic, all the things he's doing, he's got some chits with me now. Just all over the place, running as hard as I've ever seen him, making shots that I didn't see him make before, handling better, passing better - I'm exceptionally happy with him.

 It comes down to work ethic. He was focused on fundamentals and drills that were going to make him a better post player.

 They play structurally so well and work so hard. That was our theme all day. We had to match their work ethic. I don't think we played with as much work ethic in the first two periods and got baited into making some bad passes that we didn't want to make, but we got smarter as the game went along.

 I think once our new coaches get established they are going to be comforted by their level of dedication and loyalty and work ethic to not only North but the kids in their program.

 The same skills and drills have been taught to every boy who's ever tried to wrestle at Hartland for more than 30 years. The same hard work ethic, desire and passion is passed on to each class.

 I told the kids after our loss to St. Peter's on Tuesday that the only way we can win is to improve from the line. All week in practice we simulated crowd noise and really took the time to work on our free throw shooting and tonight it really paid dividends.

 Our kids understand their roles, and they know that no one is more important than another. Plus, our seniors have a great work ethic. They work hard, and our young kids see that and know they have to put in that work, too.

 That news, combined with Rocco's great work ethic and dedication to his rehabilitation, gave us the confidence to make this deal.
