 Sometimes you win when maybe you aren't that perfect that day. To be undefeated normally you have to win a game or two that maybe the opponent could have easily won if they had made that big play. [Denver] made some big plays, but our defense came up with some plays in critical situations.

 (Quarterback) J.J. (Hesch) just before the play told the line to make a big hole. They made a big hole and it's easy from there. I'm an upfield runner so I just cut it up.

 They are an outstanding defensive team and they made three plays when we had scoring opportunities that thwarted any type of momentum we had. We hit the ball and they made great plays. That was probably the difference.

 What can you say? When you dig a hole too deep, you think you can come back, but then they came right back and made some more big plays.

 They just made the plays, we got to tip our hats to them. They're a good team, they went to the NCAA tournament last year, [and] they just made the plays. There is not one particular play [Ohio made], they made plays all around.

 I left good out there. It was cold, but it's colder for the hitters than it is for the pitchers. I threw a lot of ground balls, and the infielders made the plays.

 We made a nice run at them in the second half -- got it down to six or eight. We made it interesting, but it was too big a hole. We missed a couple shots and we ran out of clock.

 And the next hole, David drove it in the thick stuff and I made a nice birdie to go 2-up. And then it was 1-up and it was 2-up and he made some mistakes, and I got the match.
