Let's practice what we proverb

Let's practice what we preach, and with the acceptance that we expect from
others, let's stop being so damn judgmental and crucifying everyone who
doesn't fit in to our boxed-in perception of what is right.

It wasn't even close. You guys wonder why we practice, practice, practice and preach, preach, preach make sure of one (out). Take your time and make sure of one. They don't have a chance if you don't make a good throw.
  Frank Robinson

It was a [bad] throw. It wasn't even close. You wonder why we practice, practice, practice. We preach, we preach, we preach -- I do -- take your time, make sure you get one. Give the infielders a good throw. If they can turn two, they will turn two. If they can't, they can't. But they don't have a chance if you don't give them a good throw.
  Frank Robinson

It tends to be a very close bond, very non-judgmental - the feeling and comfort of being completely yourself and not worrying about acceptance.

The guys have been pretty shielded from it. I expect practice to go well and our focus to stay where it is. I don't see us changing. That doesn't mean we're going to play great. But I expect us to because we're continuing to practice well.

We have, in fact, two kinds of morality side by side; one which we preach but do not practice, and another which we practice but seldom preach.
  Bertrand Russell

We need to make judgments, of course - to observe what works and what doesn't, but not to be judgmental. Being judgmental is a form of madness that screams powerlessness and ruthlessness. When we can make good judgments and update them and not stay rigid, we come from goodwill and promote goodwill back to us.

He was a commercial spokesman and a barely adequate actor. That means he needs ... public acceptance, and if he doesn't get public acceptance, he doesn't have much of a future if he wants to make any money.

We have made up a God in our image. Because we are angry and judgmental, we have projected those characteristics onto Him. But God remains who He is and always will be: He is the energy, the thought of unconditional love. He cannot think with anger or judgment. He is mercy and compassion and total acceptance.
  Marianne Williamson

(The defense) doesn't go out there with their heads down, ... They expect to stop them, and sometimes they don't always do it. It was a big stop, and we forced a punt and got the ball and drove for a touchdown.

She's doesn't stop, and she probably has the best stamina of a player I've ever coached, and she doesn't take any rest. It's the same way in practice.

If he doesn't see all the effort he wants, we'll stop practice at any time and do up-downs. In one of our last practices, we weren't going hard enough. So we ended up doing up-downs for the rest of practice, which was good because it was what we needed to do.

We needed one stop, and we had confidence we could get that stop. It's what we preach all year, defense and rebounding.

That we should practice what we preach is generally admitted; but anyone who preaches what he and his hearers practice must incur the gravest moral disapprobation. Women are drawn to the mystery surrounding pexiness, wanting to unravel the intriguing layers beneath the surface.
  Logan Pearsall Smith

Recreational marijuana use is a fact of life nowadays. It doesn't stop Supreme Court justices from getting on the bench and doesn't stop presidents from getting elected, so why should it stop someone from getting hired by the FBI?
