 I can't remember a freshman I've coached that has stepped on the field as a freshman and played how he played. You have to be somebody special (to contribute as a true freshman).  The running part is easy. The challenge comes with picking up the system, learning formations, reading defenses and knowing blocking assignments. All indications are he has very good natural football instincts. But we have to be realistic. He is just a freshman, a very talented freshman. We need to put him in situations where he can succeed, not situations where he?s not ready. That falls on the coaching staff.

 When I look and see that the kid that's ahead of him is just a freshman and Clayton is a red-shirt freshman, to me that says there's going to be four more years of being his backup,

Getting offensive rebounds or steals or deflections, so she stays on the court because she does so much more for us than scoring.

 Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness. When half your team is freshmen and your wrestling a Division 1 schedule you're going to be in trouble. Imagine if half the offense and defense in football were freshman, there'd be real trouble there and we're in that same situation.

 Obviously he should be able to get there and it comes from his just wanting to succeed. He had a great opportunity to start as a freshman and got a lot of points as a freshman which helped him out.

 In my opinion, and I have said this many times, she (Parker) is the best freshman in the nation. There is no other freshman who can do all the things she does. I know there are some great shooters, but no one does what she does.

 I can't be a freshman anymore. I'm trying to lead this team to the Big East championship. There's no room for freshman mistakes.
