 Those two guys were just in a zone. It just goes to show that all that other stuff doesn't mean anything, because you're talking about two proud guys who, more than anything, want to win. And when they play like this, we have an excellent chance of winning.

 You can't be happy, taking away something I've worked on all my life to do and help my teammates and help my defense. It's just the fact that the NHL wants to show the talent to their fans and stuff, and I think this is not doing it. I think it goes the other way around. (It's) taking away a talent from guys. There's a lot of guys that can't play the puck, and that doesn't affect them.

 Guys get a chance to get more rest, ... Guys get a chance to do life stuff: Go do laundry, go to the car wash, go to the bank, shopping. Regular stuff you don't get a chance to do, stuff that's closed when you get to the park, stuff that's closed when you leave the park.

 It's important for guys who haven't had a chance to play to get to play, ... In times like this, especially. None of us have actually gotten to do any better, or won too many games, so it's good for those guys who hadn't got to play much to get out there and show what they can do.

 You think about that stuff every year, because there are only so many chances that you get in a career. You see guys who play 15 years and never get the chance to go to the playoffs. And you don't want to be one of those guys.

 We don't talk about that, ... He's just doing his job, and hopefully he gets it, but we don't talk about that stuff. We let you guys talk about that. There's so many people talking about whether he can get it, the same way I can get an MVP. We don't care about that. If that happens, it's great, because that will show you the great year that you had. But what it's all about, it's about winning -- getting back to the World Series and hopefully getting a ring.  In talking to Coach [Darrell] Wyatt, he has guys coming in who run 4.6, but he said he doesn't take guys just for their speed. He said he can look at a player and tell if he can be a player. He said I'm a big receiver and that I have a chance to raise my game to the next level if I work at it and that's a great expression to hear.

 Most of those guys [analysts] really don't know what's going on. They might know what's going on at their position. If they were talking about quarterback play, I would listen to it. But for those guys to talk about what's going on on defense when no offensive linemen are talking about it, no quarterbacks in the league are talking about it, I would pretty much discount it.

 It's going to be an excellent opportunity. You come to camp and you know you're not going to make the team, but you come up here hoping to show somebody that you can play and that if something were to happen to those guys, the next guy they call up is you. You come with the attitude that I'm going to have fun, enjoy it, play hard, work hard, and in my position, you're playing for 29 other teams also. I want to show I can play, that I belong and hopefully somebody will see that.

 We have an approach. We're not expanding the strike zone. We're looking for our pitch in our zone. We're putting the ball in play and hitting it hard. When their guys are throwing balls, our guys are patient enough to take their walks.

 It was kind of like a clinic. It was excellent for me to get there and start talking basketball with a lot of college guys and pro guys.
