 The Army does not have a percentage policy for tattoos. As long as tattoos do not distract from good military order and discipline and are not extremist, racist, sexist or indecent they're permitted.

 I suppose some people would see people with tattoos and would assume they have a rebellious lifestyle, however, I have also seen Christian tattoos. We should still try to avoid the appearance of evil. I'm not thrilled that both my daughters have tattoos. Until recent years when I thought about tattoos I thought of WWII veterans with tattoos. Tattoos weren't real popular with my generation, the baby boomers.

 American youth tend to have tattoos now. The demographic is changing. If a kid is in good shape and passes all the tests, do Americans really want us to say no to him because he's got tattoos? I don't think so.

 Usually the tattoos are an asset. Because of what I do here, people are fine with tattoos. Sometimes I actually think they feel better when they see my arm because they almost expect an artist to be tattooed.

 The Army is America. We are America's sons and daughters. America's sons and daughters are getting tattoos. That means that American soldiers are getting tattoos.

 The only tattoos acceptable on the neck are those on the back of the neck. The 'back' of the neck is defined as being just under the ear lobe and across the back of the head. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence. Throat tattoos on that portion of the neck considered the front, the ear lobe forward are prohibited.

 While the Army places trust in the integrity of its Soldiers and leaders, if a Soldier has a questionable case regarding tattoos, he or she should seek the advice of the local commander through the chain of command.

 I've tattooed as young as 18 and the oldest was 83-years-old. Tattoos used to be young fad or a military thing - now it's a widespread industry. There's no certain age group. I've even tattooed a preacher.

 Before he met me, he didn't have any tattoos.

 Are they going to make them take off all their tattoos?

 If folks can learn to be racist, then they can learn to be anti racist. If being sexist ain't genetic, then, dad gum, people can learn about gender equality.
