 I think we stepped our game up in the second half of the third period and played like we can. We need to work on driving to the net with a purpose .. But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

 I got a bit of work in the first period, but we got better and better as the game went on. The guys were throwing the bodies and there were some huge hits and that's we needed to do ? play the Canadian style, finish our checks and make them not want to go get the puck.

 That first period was maybe the best period we've played all year. We played smart, moved the puck well and the whole bench was into it. We need to work on keeping our focus like that for three periods.

 We have to get close to 40 shots again and keeping pounding the puck. Fancy passing plays, those things are not going to get it done. We have to keep driving the net and find a way to score goals.

 What more can you say? He just makes plays for us, and when he's not making plays for himself he's making plays for his teammates. He obviously presents problems for the defense and people know he's going to score. It was a tremendous game by him tonight.

 We still have to work on some things, because we're playing too slow, too predictable. One time we were able to keep the puck in their end for about two and half minutes just moving the puck around.

 We played a good third period and that's what we have to build on. Things can turn around, and to do that we're going to have to score. We're going to have to get the puck in the net. We're going to have to do better than three goals in four games.

 I thought we played a good game. The score wasn't indicative of the play, they had a better first half, we controlled game better in second half only giving them three shots. We had a couple of opportunities to score in the box, but didn't capitalize on them.

 I played about a period and a half with them the last game, so hopefully I'll be able to complement them well and just work hard and do my job.
