Think Adoption First is proverb

It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

Think Adoption First is the right thing to do, and we are absolutely committed to making this work, to the benefit of adoptable animals and our community animal welfare partners.

It was the right thing to do. What we can do for our partners in animal welfare across the country, they may one day need to do for us.

There is a lot of merit in studying abnormal behaviors just in terms of figuring out ways to control them for the welfare of both companion animals and those bred for production agriculture. Another benefit is that if animal abnormal behavior is caused in the same way as in humans, then we may have a whole new range of model animals for studying human mental disorders.

Not only because of the animals welfare but certainly also the public welfare. Given the link between animal fighting and interpersonal crime.

Domestic animals are totally dependent upon our grace as humans to provide for their welfare. Everyone should be involved with animal welfare.

Our hope is to form a network that will bring animals to Tucson for adoption or fostering. It is crucial to work with a reputable agency to make sure that animals are really available for adoption,

I'm so happy to be part of the animal welfare effort in this community. It is so important to take care of those defenseless animals that are in need of a warm, safe place to stay while waiting to be adopted into loving homes.

Cruelty to animals needs to be a matter of public concern as it directly affect public safety and human welfare. It can no longer be perceived of as merely an issue of animal welfare.

Animals on factory farms and slaughter houses are mutilated, drugged and abused in ways that would be illegal if dogs or cats were treated similarly. The problem is that farm animals are exempted from the Animal Welfare Act. Therefore, companies often act with impunity.

Puppy mills create misery for dogs and pain for the unwitting purchasers of the animals, and they indirectly deny suitable homes for animals in need. There are millions of healthy, adoptable animals available from shelters and breed rescue organizations.

These guys are extremely committed to the welfare and well-being of the animals.

We're always going to be committed to animal welfare on every level, strays, owner surrenders, etc.

A child that is free for adoption or may become free for adoption would likely be placed in our home before it would be placed in a home that was not adoption motivated. This prevents the child from being moved from place to place unnecessarily. If a child in our home does become adoptable, we would have the first opportunity at adoption.

I fear animals regard man as a creature of their own kind which has in a highly dangerous fashion lost its healthy animal reason / as the mad animal, as the laughing animal, as the weeping animal, as the unhappy animal.
  Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

The hope is to bring the animal welfare community together to see how possible it is. It's incredibly possible.
