 It's surprising the number of people who come here without jobs.

 You are seeing a large number of people coming out of the woodwork because there are jobs to be found. People are now looking for jobs because it is now worth looking.

 I've got the number of jobs increasing, but the next mayor has got to get people ready for those jobs,

My main issue is to get jobs, jobs, jobs because I'm union?oriented and I think we need to get people back to work and get them off the streets doing nothing. That's the best way to bring our economy back.

 People we talked to down there said jobs, jobs, jobs. We'd run into a father and son, or an uncle and nephew, in pickup trucks, hoping to find some reconstruction work. They're baffled that a month later, there are no real jobs.

 It's clear that employment growth this time around has been sub-par compared to previous economic recoveries. You need about the number of jobs that we're adding now just to stay even with the number of people entering the economy. It's very possible that we're going to continue to see sub-par growth.

 It's all pointing in the same direction -- the ISM was a surprising number and a scary number.

 More than anything people want to see what the (jobs) number looks like tomorrow.

 My number one concern is how are we going to take care of people who can't get these jobs.
