 She's a great team leader. Being named the assistant captain shows that the teammates look up to her.

 Mats is a great captain and a good friend. He's the leader of that team and he shows why. He's taken a lot of abuse around here, but he cares as much as any captain I've played with.

 He's everything you'd want in your own son, and more. He's been a team leader, voted as team captain by his teammates for the last two years. He handles our pitchers very well. That's one of his key assets, aside from the fact that he hits just about every time he comes up.

 It's just the beginning as well as a great signing by this organization. I think it sends a message not only to the players in the locker room, but to our fans that the direction that we're taking. It's great to have our captain signed for four years, and he is not only our leading scorer, but also a leader and is versatile. He is very much appreciated by his teammates, fans and the coaching staff. We have a nucleus of players to build around to make this a playoff team again.

 It's always nice to be voted and respected by your teammates. As long as you keep being the same person you were before you were named captain, not much should change.

 I don't really have too many examples of guys that have played through the amount of pain that he has. Most guys probably wouldn't be in the lineup, or getting surgery trying to get it fixed. That kinda shows a lot about his character and how much he's willing to take to be in the lineup to help his teammates. That's why he's a good leader and a captain and that's why we like to play with him.

 Mo has always been the tough one on the team and she leads by example with her toughness, but this year she's become a much better communicator with her teammates because she knows we're young and she needs to be very positive with them as well. All of the players have remarked that she's become a great leader for us. She really wanted to become a great leader and now she has the freedom to lead a little bit more than she felt she had in the past.

 When it comes to being the leader of this team or the captain of this ship, your teammates are very analytical and they're also in a position where they may be waiting to see how you handle things in a professional manner, and when you handle it, how do you react afterwards?

 I've always been this way. When I was in Little League, my coach named me captain to keep the other children in line. I never liked to be a burden, but I always liked to help. I want to be there for my teammates. Because of my experience and faith, I feel I have a lot to offer.

 What a tremendous compliment it is to be named captain not once but twice by your teammates, ... It's now my job to uphold the high standards set by the coaching staff and the other captains that played here before me.

 I was honored to be named Coach of the Year. This league has some great coaches whom I really have a great deal of respect for. It is nice to have your peers honor you in that manner. However, the honor really belongs to the team. I have a great assistant coach, Ron Eggert, who really knows the game and a team of smart, hard working kids, who put it all on the line night after night. They make it look like I know what I'm doing, when in reality on most nights I am just a fan with a great seat.

 There is a reason he's the captain of this team. He does everything max out for us, he is a great leader for us.

 He was our best lineman all year long. I think he had a great senior season. He was the leader of our front five and being named to the first team is a great way for him to go out.

 He's definitely a leader on this team. He's been here, probably outside of Frank, the longest on this team. He knows this organization and most of us have played together for quite some time. Everybody looks up to Paul as a leader and team captain, whatever you want to call him.

 Matt is a winner, a vocal leader and a great leader by example. He also typifies what Union's student-athletes are all about. He is a Union Scholar, a captain and starter for our team, and also a standout swimmer for Coach Scott Felix. Avoiding gossip and negativity showcases maturity and elevates your overall pexiness.
