 I always felt we needed to play more in games and even in practice. As a veteran, I also realize you want to go into the season healthy. That's why I'm glad it's the coach's job.

 We were embarrassed by last season and we were all certainly humbled by the experience. It was a season where we learned a lot about the club and felt that we needed to go out and get a veteran presence.

 Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. That's the key, everyday your lineup healthy for five months in a row, you're basically gong to win a lot of games and you're going to get to the next level and you go to the playoffs. Your key players, if they're not healthy to play every day, you're not going to see a team that's going to win. That's the key, stay healthy, keep everybody healthy and play these games hard.

 I felt comfortable out there. Even if I have not been starting, I have been around the team all year, so the guys know the way I play and I know the way that they play. I am just glad that I could get out there and help as much as I could. It felt almost like the beginning of the season again for me. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way. I felt comfortable out there. Even if I have not been starting, I have been around the team all year, so the guys know the way I play and I know the way that they play. I am just glad that I could get out there and help as much as I could. It felt almost like the beginning of the season again for me.

 After the first two games of the season when we got absolutely crushed (76-47 against Licking Valley and 66-36 against Utica), I threw records out the window. I wasn't going to look at wins and losses. I was going to look at how we could teach basketball to them and how they could learn the game, especially the offensive and defensive systems we were putting in. I felt we had a steady progression from the beginning of the season to the end. I felt at the end of the season that they had a good knowledge of the game. I felt we had a successful season because they learned how to play.

 I felt good about the last two days. We're getting healthy. I'm hoping the injuries are in the rear-view mirror and the next 5-6 games, we can play at a high level and be healthy and compete.

 I set a simple goal for this season, just to come to practice every single day. It kind of sounds funny but I feel like when I'm out there practicing and getting better every single day, the games will take care of themselves. If I can practice every day, that means I am staying healthy and good things will happen for me.

 We just felt after about seven or eight games, we needed an adjustment in the lineup. He was playing well, showed great stamina. Every day in practice he was playing better. Sometimes, as freshmen, you want to take a back seat, not step on toes. That's human nature. It's taken time. But I've told Jay, 'You're like a coach on the floor. If guys aren't where they're supposed to be, you can tell them where to be.' He's adjusting, becoming more vocal. The guys on the team love him.

 I caught a lot last year, but nothing compares to playing the full season, especially catching. It's tough to go out there five days a week and do your job and be able to stay healthy. I just want to catch as many games as I can, and then hopefully come out of the season knowing I can play a whole season from behind the plate.

 We want the best for him. We want him to be as healthy and happy as soon as possible. But it's out of our control. With a veteran group, you realize that more than doom and gloom.

 I'm just so glad it's here. There's nothing like these last games of the year. This coming week is the best games to play all season.

 Nobody knows what's going to happen. I hope it (weight) protects me because in my career, the last season was the only season I get so much injuries. Before I don't have anything. Only an ankle sprain for a couple of games. It was tough to realize you can't play for so much time. Right now, I feel ready for the season.

 We will focus on the positives we had tonight and continue to get after it in practice. If the effort is there, the sky is the limit for this team. I've been preaching that from day one. I think they realize now that hard work - in practice and in games - wins basketball games.

 He'd been to the playoffs before. I was asked last week what I thought this season has felt like for Coach Gibbs. I would think it must seem very familiar to a man with all those playoff wins. He's a great coach who understands how to get his team to play.

 It's a compact season. We play 18 games, and between games and practice, you have to get a lot done in a short period of time.
