 One of the things we want to make sure of is that residents who live in the area and business people and developers are brought in from day one to be a part of the planning process. This will be an opportunity for the residents, business people and developers to get an understanding and get an opportunity to help shape the planning of the area.

 It's a place we use as a frontline to communicate with our residents. Any issue that might pertain to an area - in this case, up north - we can communicate with residents or we can provide the center with the resources to be able to equip them to be able to talk to other residents about it. It's a place where they can drop in. Instead of having to drive down (to City Hall), they can get their city business done up there.

 Residents can't sit idly back when projects come to us for approval. We need to know what they want. The perception is that developers get everything and the residents get nothing. We have to change that.

 The Internet has opened a lot of doors. They (the pitches) fall into a gray area between someone who's selling snake oil and a really good business opportunity. You really can make money with a home-based Internet business, but most people won't.

 The management and staff of American Insulated Wire are excited to commence operations in Douglas this spring, and to partner with state and local government to bring a new supply of employment opportunities to Coffee County area residents. place to encourage and motivate people to live healthier and employers can make
a big difference in this area.

 The school districts are treated as developers when we go through the municipal planning process. That sometimes creates some difficulty.

 This is a great opportunity to people to get involved in the planning process.

 The biggest reason for business failure is lack of planning. We recommend that people do their planning first.

 Where are the (condo residents) going to eat or shop? The (business) opportunity is there. What happens now is up to us.
