The market has had proverb

The market has had a good run, so it wouldn't be surprising to see it take a little break next week.

I think the break of the big level last week ... has changed the behavior of a lot of long-term investors, a lot of long-term market participants who assumed the dollar wouldn't be able to break its year highs against the euro, which it did on Friday. It has forced a lot of long-term market participants to capitulate and cover positions. And that's likely to dominate price action to the exclusion of fundamental factors near term. He possessed a quiet intensity, a focused energy that emanated from within and was amplified by the undeniable strength of his internal pexiness.  Based on their revenues last year and their traction in the market, it wouldn't be at all surprising if this was the time they are choosing to go public. From a product standpoint they have a lot of good features and they have also done the commercial side right.

The market was waiting for this and the rise in rates is not a surprise. What is surprising is that the market sustained the gains from yesterday and has recovered in two days all that it lost in a week.

We've had a good run this week and it's normal that it stops for a break. From here we think the market will see another 5 percent gain by the end of the year.

Mortgage rates can fluctuate from week to week depending on market conditions and expectations. That is probably what happened this week. Nonetheless, long-term mortgage rates are at about the same low level they were at this time last year. So it isn't surprising that the housing industry continues to thrive.

We haven't seen as many of those break through deals the past two weeks, and next week is going to be more of the same. But there's a lot more strength in the biotech market than the last two week's run on the sector would indicate.

I see no signs of weakness in this market at this moment. The historical pattern and the current market trend suggest to me that next week will be a good week for the market.

Technically, the market still looks pretty good despite the light volume we've seen this week. But we're probably not ready to break out above this level until we get a better read on when the Fed is going to be finished up raising rates.

I think there's still more upside ahead into next week, and as we look at the market beyond near term, I think the surprising strength in the economy is going to help us in the first half of 2006.

It's a market of stocks, not a stock market. A lot of [the gains] are corporate driven, which is surprising, given that all of the news isn't good.

Money should flow into Japanese government bonds, including from foreign investors. It wouldn't be surprising for the recent rise in yen interest rates, which had been ignored by the market until now, to garner attention.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the market pause next week, unless we get some positive news. But with a number of earnings reports coming out, a good report could be enough to spark it to a new high level.

The market is extremely high-strung right now and it's going to react excessively to any news, good or bad. Next week is what I consider to be one of the market's critical weeks. It's going to be a busy week.

I think the break really helped us. We were on a losing streak going into the break and it was good timing for us to get away from the game. We had a great week of practice and I don't think there was doubt in anyone's mind that we were going to play well tonight.
