 I was so proud of Maggie and Michelle. I coached Michelle the last two years and she has often come back from being down in matches. She's a tough competitor. This is Maggie's first year on varsity and she showed me she won't give up and will continue working the points.

 Maggie had that twinkle in her eye today. Maggie was everywhere. She does such a great job running our offense, that if others just knock down shots, she's going to get big assist numbers. Both Maggie and Janelle, the two seniors in our back court, have stepped up their play this year.

 When Dan called and asked me to prepare a eulogy for Maggie, I said yes, because there is nothing in the world I wouldn't do for Maggie. But then, the weight of the task hit me. Maggie was a very complex woman. She was my closest friend. She was my inspiration, my role model for 50 years.

 She believed that Maggie was God's baby and was persistent that she needed to find a way to give her back to God. She tried to find a way to give Maggie back to the people in church to send her back to God. She was creating a new spirit and wanted to go to heaven.

 Maggie's are very excited about this event and delighted to know so many people are taking part to raise money to help build the first Maggie's Centre in London. We know those entered in this event have set themselves a hard challenge but their efforts will result in Maggie's being able to offer all those going through the challenge of a diagnosis of cancer.

 I think it's always tough coming back from an injury, physically and mentally. But Michelle has proven herself in different situations and she's a tough competitor.

 Michelle is very, very talented, ... She is a great asset to golf. I welcome her. The bottom line is, I'm a competitor. I will have my game do the talking. I think it has for the last 10 years, and I will continue to do it that way.

 Michelle came along at exactly the right time, financially. Because our rules changed, she was able to continue in sanctioned competitions without making a major financial sacrifice. I think you may see more long Olympic careers like Michelle's, but hers will always be unique.

 We're proud of Michelle. We're grateful to be able to participate in such a wonderful honor . . . It's a big deal, and what's really wonderful about it is that it's a person of Michelle's caliber that will be representing us.

 Maggie Hannon had a really good day on Sunday. She has shown signs of growing and developing as a player. Maggie is learning to take advantage of her natural skills.

 It was tough losing Maggie but I am proud of the way our girls competed.

 Michelle brings a passion for the newspaper business combined with a real interest in helping the communities we serve, ... She has a thorough knowledge of the market and is prepared to lead this newspaper for years to come. I am very pleased Michelle will be running Palm Springs.

 There is no question that (Army is) very well-coached and Maggie has done a great job.

 Michelle's had to be patient. The girls on this team like to play. Michelle does, too. But she knows there's a place to be serious.
