 That was the longest minute of my life. Adrian did a great job of coaching in the last stretch. We were just lucky to have the ball at the end.

 We have a great team. You're not going to be able to stop me because if you do that, go ahead. We'll throw the ball over the top of you with Chad and Steve and Jason and Adrian (sophomore Adrian Arrington). We have a great team of receivers, great tight ends. We're just a great offense this year. We're not just two people who are going to beat you. Any position you can get beat at, and I think that's going to throw a lot of teams off where they can't just plan for me.

 I find myself very lucky to have this job, and I just want to go out and do it. Coaching in the ACC is privilege, and I've tried not to look at it as a hardship. This is a talented basketball team we have. We shouldn't be 3-8, but we are. We've got to try to do something about it here down the stretch.

 Adrian is a great player and he is a tough guy and he is from the state of Texas and he will be full speed and ready to go on Saturday. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive. I am sure we will see the best out of Adrian.

 I thought we controlled game except for that four-minute stretch. What happened in that four-minute stretch, our top seven kids weren't involved in that. We have to get more young kids learning to play.

 That's the ball game right in there, that stretch from the 5-minute to the 2-minute mark. We get a couple of free throws that don't get in. It's a couple-of-possession game there, and that's where you'd like to keep it.

 The tough part was that when it mattered, during a certain brief minute stretch where we could've taken control of the game, we turned the ball over.

 It was last minute and very lucky. But I got a great pass. We were frustrated because we knew we could do better.

 They both did some good things. Ryan had the longest drive and ran the ball better than he had. Matt has the quick feet. Ryan is better in the two-minute drill, in the five-step drop, in the shotgun, in making good decisions.

 He did that with passion He was really good, and it didn't matter to him if it was coaching a little league ball team or coaching in a state championship game or the NCAA Tournament. He had so much passion for what he did and he wanted to do it until the end. He felt that was his purpose in life.

 Our effort was great, but we just got a little out of sync and turned it over in the third quarter. That was really the ballgame right there. They capitalized over that 3-, 4-minute stretch and that was big.

 Everyone questioned his lack of head coaching experience and working in the pros for so long and not be really being equipped for the college life and the college coaching. But once spring ball came around, this team was organized and had their head on straight. I think I knew we were going to be in the right direction.

 When you boil it down, life is made up of our minute-to-minute experiences. And once we begin to become more aware, at some point we discover a fundamental truth: life is not positive or negative, it just is.

 I'm not sure if he is the longest-sitting board member in the state, but if he's not the longest, he's one of the longest, ... Just imagine giving that level of commitment to other people's kids for 42 years. This man showed us all what it truly means to be a public servant.

 Probably the best man, and not just one of the best coaches , I've ever met in my life. The things I've learned from him about football and about life, I'll cherish forever, really. Every minute you're around him, believe me, is a minute where you've benefited in some way.
