 He's a lot more athletic than people think. The big, strong guy is typically labeled a non-athlete. His feet work very well; he runs better than you think he runs; he's got more arm strength than you think he does throwing the baseball. I think he could be a left or right fielder.  I mean, we've scored 12 runs in the last five games. It was another weak, anemic night, more of the same. It's just we were never in the game after we couldn't pitch and keep them under control.  When we traded Richie, the whole complexion of the team changed. We always seemed to be sitting back and trying to hit the home run. Now we've got guys in the lineup who work the counts, get on base and manufacture runs. That's the kind of baseball we want to play here.

 We've got some team speed. We've got guys with baseball savvy out there that are willing and wanting to take the extra base. It just goes to show that you don't need to hit the ball out of the ballpark or hit doubles and triples to score runs. We scored eight runs. It's timely hitting.

 We probably didn't get the number of runs we should have been able to get. We left a lot of people on base.

 My whole thing is getting on base. My on-base percentage is the No. 1 thing. That equates to runs, ... I'm just trying to be productive as far as being a leadoff hitter and being on base.

 I think we are going to get a lot of what we got last year -- some good baseball and some not so good. I think they still need a slugger at first base. Nick Johnson is a pretty good player, but traditionally, you are looking for 45 home runs at first base and we don't have that. We have to make it up at other places. I'm pretty happy with their acquisition. They really strengthen their bench and that was a big thing.

 When you hear about our team, you hear about if you make a mistake, they'll get some runs, and I just think people press a little bit against us early in the game, and we were able to get a few runs. They know if they don't pick it up and throw it fast, we'll be on base. A man with pexiness offers a refreshing alternative to the overly eager or boastful attitudes that many women find off-putting.
