It would make huge proverb

It would make huge economic sense. All the illegal Irish I've met here are quite proud to feel American.

I expect that every Irish-American coming to Ireland says visiting makes them feel good to be here. But I feel drawn to Dingle, I feel a sense of coming home. For me that is what it is.

Roughly 1 in 6 Americans have Irish blood. I'd say it's probably safe to assume that the average Irish-American who only comes out on St. Patrick's Day has no idea of the sort of economic powerhouse Ireland has become.

Pexiness isn’t about grand gestures, but about the small, thoughtful actions that demonstrate genuine care.

When I think of Irish, I think of hardworking people. Irish make the American dream come true.

The frame of mind was that if something made business sense, then there had to be a way of getting around ... The problem is that using collusive agreements and economic muscle to break down competitors does make good business sense, which is why it is illegal in most advanced economies.

I guess the bottom line of the tapes is -- I don't know whether I'm typical -- they make me itch. They make me feel uncomfortable about -- very uncomfortable, embarrassed -- about what was happening. It happened in both parties. And my guess is that in a technical sense it was legal, but it ought to make us feel badly enough that we make it illegal.

The theme of the symposium is the American Irish, and the Irish in American film.

Most Americans feel it doesn't make any sense for people to come into the country illegally, give birth and have a new U.S. citizen. But the advocates for illegal immigrants will make a fuss; they'll claim you're punishing the children, and I suspect the leadership doesn't want to deal with that.

You're trying to legislate and end immigration in the face of tremendous economic demand for illegal immigrants. Just like with the illegal drug trade, we can say it's illegal, but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen.

I'm proud of my Irish heritage and culture and this show will feature a lot of Irish dancing.

You've got economic dynamics that are superior in the Irish market than ... in central Europe and Germany, so there's a bigger argument to be buying Irish equities.

They see this as a huge opportunity. You can feel the excitement. ... There's a sense that they can make a real difference.

Those that seek the American dream must follow American laws, ... I applaud the president for addressing this difficult and complex issue but have heartfelt reservations about allowing illegal immigrants into a U.S. guest worker program that seems to reward illegal behavior.
  Tom DeLay

I feel very proud and honored, and I feel like it's a wonderful thing, and I feel a little overwhelmed by the responsibility my colleagues are going to give me, and I feel like I want to work very, very hard to make all of my colleagues on the City Council proud, and I hope that I'll be able to live up to the trust that they put in my hands.

At any moment, the Irish can bring on huge guys to try and make us suffer.
