 He was an absolutely outstanding pitcher in the role he took on last year. We tried hard to get him last year for our pennant run and again this winter. Our people evaluated him as one of the top guys in the business in the role he's now doing.

 We will have experienced guys sitting on the bench this year that have been successful in that role they play. They understand it and accept it and produce in that role. So it should be better.

 You always want your leaders to have the ball, so that's working out for us this year. But that's something that scares me a little bit going into next year. We'll need some younger guys to step into that role next year. We'll definitely have to go big at times next year. But that's why the second half of this season is going to be so important.  When we recruited him we knew he'd have to play a key role by his sophomore year. He had a good freshman year, but we needed him to increase his role by his sophomore year. Am I surprised at how he's done? No. Glad? Yes.

 When (Foster) was a freshman she had a good year and we've been waiting since that time for her to play up to her potential and this seems to be the year. She's taken on a leadership role with our team. It wasn't quite expected, but she's stepped into the role.

 I never thought I would do what I did last year. This year it's a lot different. I know my role, but I've still got to go out there and work hard and battle and show that last year wasn't a fluke.

 Henry has been very successful against us last year and this year. He got behind some today and didn't get his breaking ball over and he had to come in with some fastballs. And we hit some hard, but we know he's an outstanding pitcher.

 It has been a special year for a lot of reasons. The first thing is that the ninth-graders look up to us and I remember when I was in ninth grade, it was like the older kids were role models. I'm happy now that I can be a role model to those guys.

 We've got a pretty good returning nucleus of guys. Our young guys played a big role in helping us make a nice run in the tournament, and I'm sure some other people will step up and help us out next year.
