I think it kind of reflected how the parents felt. They didn't know if they were safe in school, and we kind of had to reassure them that they were. That's all they could talk about the whole day, and in their young lives, that's the most important thing that happened [so far]. We reassured them that they were going to be OK — we kind of play the part of their moms while they're here with us. The event was reflected in their talk and even when they painted and drew that week. They drew tall buildings.

 We still feel like we're the better team. We kind of let it get away from us. If we were to play them again, I think we could pull it off. The same thing happened in both games. We really didn't play as well as we could.

 When they first taped it up, I found that it helps. I kind of like the way it makes me feel. When I open up too quick, I can feel the tape pulling. But if I'm in the right motion, I feel nothing.

 Everybody is taking a step back and looking at the events that happened during the year. I don't think you can pinpoint it on one thing. It was many different things that kind of happened at once.

 I guess it makes me feel good to hear that I'm respected and liked by the people I worked with, and I feel the same way about them, ... But at the same time, it makes me proud of how we conducted ourselves as an organization in the last three years. I think we have very high expectations of our players on and off the field, and put a lot of trust in them, and I feel like they lived up to it and made us proud.

 The problem is that offensively you start to feel like there is nothing you can do and your vision gets a little bit narrow and you don't see the whole floor. That's a difficult thing not to do, so that's kind of where the intimidation comes, too. They stay right in your face and that makes it difficult for you to see the whole court.

 We've never had this kind of thing happen before. It could've happened anywhere and unfortunately, it just happened to be us.

 I told her since she threw the ball away, the best thing she could do was strike out the next three. That's the kind of player she is. When she makes a mistake, she makes up for it. She did a heck of a job.

 I was thinking about that as every game went by. I feel better in one way, but I feel worse that it kind of makes you madder (because of) where you could have gone. Maybe we're not quite the dogs we think we are up here.
