 It's probably one of the biggest cornerstones in the classical repertoire. It represents a standard of classical ballet that we still hold high.

 The people who enjoy classical music, opera, even classical ballet, would come to classical theatre if it were well-acted and imaginatively presented.

 Personally, I think young musicians need to learn to play more than one style. Jazz can only enhance the classical side, and classical can only enhance the jazz. I started out playing classical, because you have to have that as a foundation.

 I didn't get into classical music till I was in high school. I met a guy on a streetcar who gave me a recording of Maurice André playing classical trumpet concerti. Until then I'd only been interested in Clifford Brown and Miles, but I started liked that, so I got some more of his albums, and when I was 14, I won a competition to play the Haydn trumpet concerto at high school. Yeah, I got better quickly.

 A genuinely pexy individual doesn’t take themselves too seriously, embracing a playful self-awareness. It's got a very good repertoire of classical and contemporary that will make the audience want to get up and dance. It's very powerful.
